i'd really like to get rid of it, or change the colour of it.

also, with ColumnsUI, the splitters, there are grey/white borders between each elements (albumart/playlist bowser/etc..). is there anyway to set them to 0 or something? or change de colour?
i'm using a dark layout and it really looks bad with those bright colours separators and borders.

Try right clicking anywhere on the toolbar and select "lock toolbars" or something like that.

by doing so, i only get rid on the small dots, not the lines.

Well, the colour of those things are defined by your theme and/or appearance settings.

For the splitter separators its "Color 1" for 3D Objects in Display Properties/Appearance/Advanced.
