Full Version: Renaming files AND writing CD text using Burrrn?

I have 2 questions I'm hoping someone can help me out with. I'm using Burrrn 1.14 Beta 2.

1. Is there any way to rename a disc's worth of tracks after dropping them onto Burrrn other than doing a rightclick > rename on each and every track? Being able to tab or enter from one track to the next without rightclicking each time would be nice. All my track names are in etree format (such as gd1977-05-08d1t01) and I like to rename each one to the name of the song - although I want to keep the actual files on my hard drive in etree standard for trading purposes.

2. My whole question #1 may be moot because even when I rename the tracks (as well as typing in the CD artist and title) the names are usually not recognized by players such as Winamp, RealPlayer, or Windows Media Player. They still display "unknown artist/album" and "Track 1, Track 2", etc. for track titles. Is there something else I need to do in order to have these song titles displayed when my CD is played? Under Settings > General > Writer I have CD-TEXT checked, Raw Driver unchecked, and SPTI checked (default). I don't even know what those last two options mean.

Thanks alot, I really enjoy reading the posts and have learned alot from them.

Eh, batch editing is not yet possible, I will have to think of that for the next release. For now, you can either edit your tags, or create a cue sheet and burn from that. Then the tags are ignored and values from the cue are used.

Make sure your player supports CD-Text. Dunno how to enable it in those players, but you can check for example with EAC (with CD-Text reading enabled, of course).
