Full Version: Anyone know where to get earlier versions of Fb2000?

Upgraded to 0.9 and honestly felt it was a downgrade. Interface seemed clumsier, a lot more bugs, dunno. A couple things:

1) I like how I could right click a folder and select "Play in Foobar2000...", that doesn't work anymore. Or even right-clicking anything and selecting any of the Foobar shell options doesn't work. Gotta actually double click a file and drag the rest of the files in.

2) That option it came with to manage associations was wicked. If any other app took over certain exentions, etc. Could just go back in there and make everything work normally again in one easy click. "Associate all audio formats" and whatnot.

3) I liked the fact that Foobar, when enabled translucensy, it was always thus. Don't like the fact that it goes away when the window is in focus.

4) The buttons on the top. Dunno, the Play, Pause, all that. The older interface seemed cooler. Simpler. Minimalistic. The new ones just don't look as good.

Anyways, what I just wanted to ask was what the topic said. If there was somewhere to download 0.83 (?), because I was happier with that, and lost the installer for it long ago. Everywhere I looked it's been somewhere to download 0.9, which isn't what I want. tongue.gif

This isn't a diss or anything. Just, personal preference induces me to use the older version. smile.gif

Thanks.

I like so much the 0.9 version. But if you are loking for the 0.8.3 take a look to Filehippo. http://www.filehippo.com/download_foobar2000/ (the right (green) column)

Like I said, just different tastes. I got used to the old version, maybe the new one is just too different for my liking. Thanks Puercoespin, that's exactly what I needed. smile.gif
