Hayho,

I'd like to convert all my mp3 to aac+, because it's just REALLY much smaller and my harddisc is about to burst biggrin.gif
So I'd need a program that converts my ~30 gigs of mp3 to aac+ and deletes each mp3 after converting it to aac, because I really dont have got enough space to archive the mp3 AND the aac.

Is there such a tool ?
For Windows ( 2k ) or for Linux ( debian ) doesn't matter, but for Windows would be more comfortable, because I don't like to reboot my PC, i'm way to lazy tongue.gif

Well, foobar2000 will do this, but remember that the re-encoding itself will cause additional quality loss. There will be no way back either. Consider carefully!
yulyo!
Easy Cd-Da Extractor can do that too.

MediaCoder is your best bet, made by our very own Optimus wink.gif

Just make sure, 'Option' --> 'Delete File after transcoded' is selected.

You may also want to look the recent 48kbits AAC test.

and let's not forget.. dBpowerAMP can do this as well
(see the dbpoweramp forum for using winamp's enc_aacplus.dll) cool.gif
