Can anyone notice the quality difference betwween Vorbis lancer, aotuv and official encoder?
And how to optimize the quality of OGG encoders, is it related to the trigger profile, how to set it for MAX quality?

First read this:
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=15049Second. How do you suppose to determine Ogg Vorbis best version by this poll??? ABX test should be done.
Regarding optimized versions: encodings of Lancer version and original aoTuV version differ due different rounding accuracy. It can become a pain in the ass if you are going to calculate Pluto's trajectory, but it is not worth anxiety with LOSSY music encoding.

I agree with de Mon. I don't think anything valid can come out of a poll like this. This whole thing doesn't make sense without a proper listening test. Furthermore one would have to take into account various bitrates.
The only thing this could lead to is to people drawing the wrong conclusions out of this.
Lancer builds are also exactly the same quality as the aoTuV builds they're based off. They're just much faster at encodnig.
And I do agree that this poll is useless as far as rating audio quality goes. The only useful thing is to say which one is faster, and well, lancer takes the crown by far...

I understand the imroptance of ABX tests, but it seems to me that this poll is the easiest way to get some concept, i have no time & equippment for ABXing
