I'm looking for a program that can do a batch conversion of AAC files to MP3. Looked on versiontracker.com but saw none. Does EAC handle these duties also? Thank you.

Foobar2000 will do the job, no problems. It's the Swiss Army Knife of music players. Converting, tagging, playing, searching, customising, blah blah blah. Give it a go!
Do remember that transcoding from one lossy format to another will reduce quality, so don't do it unless it's absolutely necessary.
