Hey,

I'm trying to display a series of stars (representing a rating) in a column in the playlist view of columns UI. The problem is that there are very few typefaces that have decent stars in them. So is it somehow possible to use a different typeface for each column? Eg, Tahoma for the text columns but a dingbats face for the rating. Or maybe there is a completely different way to achieve this that I'm missing. I am running the latest Columns UI with 0.9.1 Beta 1

Thanks,

Mark

Not currently possible to use different fonts per column. Arial Unicode MS is a good one to use as it has lots of symbols.

Cheers for the tip, I've switched over to using this font for now. Kind of a shame it's not possible though - Arial isn't exactly the nicest typeface i've ever encountered wink.gif

Personally I just use the symbols that are available. There's almost always something nice. Using Calibri right now, it's alright. I can't understand anyone using an ugly font just for the symbols, but hey, your call wink.gif

Couldn't you copy some symbols and put them in another font? Something I need to try out.

I've added a star to Tahoma (regular weight). The star is based on that from Arial Unicode MS. Here it is in case anyone else is looking for the same sort of thing as me.

Download 'Tahoma Star'

I used FontLab but there might be some simpler / cheaper software that could have done the same. It was fairly simple, just had to play with the spacing a little.
