G'day all.
A while ago I had a go at using masstagger(v1.4.5) with foobar(v0.8.3) and got some strange behavior.
What happened was that after a file was moved or renamed the file(s) would no show up in windows explorer, how ever they did show up when I navigated to there location using the 'browse to folder' window in masstagger.

From my perspective it looked as though masstagger was putting the files on another plane of existance or something. I checked to make sure the files were not hidden and they werent.

After I was confused about this I decided not to use masstagger as I thought it must have been a bug or something and that it was a potential hazard to my music collection. At the time I did some searching and found nothing, and I didnt ask HA because I did not have a HA account.

Now I would like to try masstagger again but am wondering if anybody knows anything about this type of behavior and what caused/causes it and whether or not it has been fixed. I am not complaining or requesting anybody do anything I am just asking if anybody could explain what was causing the problem.

Thanks

Very weird, it always works fine for me. Did you try pressing F5 in the explorer window? Or were the files still not showing even if you closed and reopened the window? What about when you run the 'dir' command in that directory?

the files wouldnt show up after closing and reopening. I didnt try the dir command at the time.

I tried to recreate the same thing using foobar 0.9 which is what I use most now but so far it seems ok but I am still curious to know what was going on last time.

I have made a duplicate copy of my music folder just in case wierd things start to happen again.
