Yes, I've reinstalled it. It always says "CONNECTING" then "BUFFERING" and it either stops in the buffering stage or it looks like the stream is buffered but it doesnt play. It always displays "112kbps" and "16kHz" even if the stream is eg. 24kbps at 44khz. I am using Winamp 5.21 Pro. I've even tried downgrading to 5.12; didnt help. Maybe I have something wrongly set in options huh.gif

Thanks for help in advance, J.M.

Already tried to play a aac file? or other another stream?

Do you have a custom output plugin or DSP plugin running?

It plays mp3 streams just fine. No, I dont have any DSP turned on nor any custom plugin. I cant try it now but I believe it plays aac (HE /SBR) files fine. (but not streams). weird blink.gif

Have you tried deleting the Winamp folder completely, and then re-installing it?

Thanks I will try that when I get to my PC. Anyways I'm running my NB right now and here the winamp (v5.08) plays aacPlus stations, so another option is to try to install 5.08, or copy the folder from my NB to PC tongue.gif

Thanks again, deleting the folder and reinstalling did the trick wink.gif

The uninstall leaves stuff in the folder (including configuration files and other odd plugins), so sometimes deleting the folder completely is the only solution.
Glad it worked though. smile.gif

I've found that if you install and enable Thomson mp3PRO decoder, winamp won't play AAC anymore. disabling it allows the aac playback again.

in_mad will also break streaming if it is enabled
in_mpg123 will break streaming (for aacplus, and i think ogg too) unless you uncheck the use for streams checkbox

it's best to let in_mp3 handle URLs without an extention
