I remember Mayah MP3 EditPro from the old days of Radium and #audiowarez:
Mayah EditPro

I want to know if there is yet a graphical frontend for windows for mp3split, or another (free) software to losslessly accomplish this: listen to it, select what I want, and save the selected portion.

I see there is a mp3split-gtk frontend, but I really would like a Windows frontend.
I heard that audacity does this, but it doesn't. It reencodes, like soundforge and so many others. I think it would really useful if someone made something like this.

I want to take a portion of a song and put on a webpage. (Yes it's my myspace profile)

I second this suggestion for mp3DirectCut. Small and fabulous, no install. Cuts out sections of a song you don't want, splits long mp3s into smaller files, all with the greatest of ease. Love it, love it, love it.

Thanks a bunch!
I'll refer to that FAQ first in the future. It's very informative.
