I'm currently using wordpress for MAREO's home page. But Wordpress is very limited on editing posts, unless you know HTML, which i don't. For example, i can't select colours, fonts, sizes, etc. The editing capabilities of HA forum are far better and wordpress, for example. My only need are:

1) BEST editing capabilities: like an embebed word/wordpro.
2) Simple.
3) Skinnable, or easy to change the "face" of the blog.

What would the experts recommend?

well, i admin that wordpress is way over my understanding (but iam pretty sure that can you can actually replace the builtineditor with something more dramatic), so its weird to see someone using it that doesnt even know some html?

anyway to answer, the easy way is to make an offline post using some utility like NVU and then just posting that using the blog '[starthtml] my nvu generated code here [/endhtml]' ability.

http://www.nvu.com/

a super-simple blog would be http://www.simplephpblog.com/ (but thats really way behind wordpress..., also it is a flat-file database thingy, works for me thought.)

edit: for wordpress there are some offline clients out there as well
http://codex.wordpress.org/Weblog_Client
(probably that would be the best solution.)

i actually started thinking on doing a framed page, with 3 rows, a header, a footer, and at the center the documentation (doc.html), and so i would only need to update doc.html with a good editor, like nvu, or maybe openoffice. I have been bothering some friendly guy about it, i hoppe he doesn't hates me when he sees his PM.

But now that you mention the off line clients, i think i would take a look at them.

If you have a Gmail account, why not try Google Page Creator?

Seems pretty nifty, and you get 100Mb of space for pics and uploads.
