Hi,

I have a HP laptop with dedicated media keys. I have set them to open fb2k and all of them work (stop, next, previous, etc.). However, they only work when fb2k has focus, if other programs is on top of fb2k none of the keys except volume works. Any idea how I can make these keys control fb2k globally?

I have sort of the same problem with Intellitype 5.5 on Windows XP SP2.
When i press one of the media keys (play, pause, next, previous) it brings foobar2000 to focus and does nothing else. If i press it again, then it responds as expected.

note that if you uninstall the drivers (which I did with my logitech) foobar supports manually binding the keys, which allows you to do some pretty cool stuff like "shift + volume up" = seek 10secs, "ctrl + stop" = stop after current, "Media" activates/deactivates foobar, etc.

Euuuh... it depends on your Logitech keyboard. If I uninstall drivers for mine, I connot use any special multimedia key anymore...

It worked great with my HP Laptop. The HP special key software needs to be installed. Then I just go into foo's keyboard settings and set actions for the special keys (forward, back, stop, pause and volume up, down and mute). As soon as I set them global it works like foo is made for this laptop spesifically! smile.gif
