Full Version: MP3 lossless editing

Hello,

I would like to make some editing tasks for mp3 files. Especialy I am interested in:
- cutting out unimportant fragments
- joining many mp3 files in one (splitting in parts according to i.e. cue file would be useful too)
- setting volume up and down

All of above tasks should be done in a lossless style, as my material is already in low bitrate (128 kbps).

It would be ideal if that tool worked in Windows and Linux, but I assume it's slight chance of that, nothing is perfect wink.gif

Command line and batch processing is not the problem for me wink.gif

Thanks for suggestions.

Dear Sir,

Try mp3 DirectCut from http://www.mpesch3.de

It's excellent and the best i've come across. Its editing is completely lossless and requires no conversion back into another format. It will also edit mp2 files (very useful for DAB radio).

regards,

LongJohn
