I've just lost my layout/background colors/etc again! sad.gif
Is there any way to prevent it?! I use the "export" option from ColumnsUI but it's almost useless since it only saves my color theme (and just some colors, background colors are forgotten)

So, can anyone help me with this?! crying.gif

Try disabling multi-user support from the preferences (general) and then backing up your entire fb2k folder except for components and playlists? Or at least your foobar2000.cfg file. Remember to do this again every time you change the preferences though!

I'll try, thanks smile.gif

I noticed this too...although isn't disabling multi-user support kind of back asswards?...i.e. I have 2 users on my machine, and we each have our own preferences, but if we can't save preferences, then what use is multi-user support..?

Edit: well crap, I was just looking at my layout, and decided to create a new one out of inspiration from something I saw in the Appearance thread...I was switching layouts just by selecting items in the dropdown box (so I could compare), and then suddenly I lost my previous layout...I didn't even do anything (didn't save, never closed the settings box...nothing! 2nd time this happens...the preset just resets by itself!)

Edit2: Lost it again...

With multi-user support, the foobar2000.cfg and playlists are stored in %appdata%\foobar2000\ So just backup that instead.

If you use multi-user support, save the foobar2000 folder located at My Documents, use the Windows search engine to find it wink.gif
