Hi! I have one BIG question for someone who knows the answer. I've got one DVD disc with an MPEG1 Audio format and I want to make a backup of this disc as an AVI file. But this format of audio file (MPEG1) isn't recognized by the any program that I have (VirtualDub, NanDub)

So please help to mix an AVI file with that kind of audio format or please tell me how to decode MPEG1 to WAV.

You can convert the mpeg audio to mp3 or ogg with BeSweet available from dspguru.doom9.net. There are guides how to do this at doom9.org.

If by MPEG-1 audio you mean mp2, there is a way to mux it into AVIs. Just add a WAV header to the mp2 file, and use Virtualdub to mux the video and the resulting "wav" file together. You can do this using a program called WaveMP3, get it at www.doom9.org.

Hmm...

Try Reiginsei's suggestion then. Or, if Winamp can play those mpa files, just decode it to WAV. Then encode to mp3 or whatever you want (that can be muxed in AVI).

Well if you read that thread provided by dspguru you would know that the prog he mentioned will add a wav header to the .mpa file allowing you to mux with your video in virtualdub.
Btw, do you have the ogg direct show filters?
