Hi,
i just bought a Soundblaster Audigy SE and when i have a song in original .wav-format (directly ripped from the CD) it sounds worse than an mp3 of that song. This is pretty strange since mp3 is compressed and wav should be sounding better.
I also set up the equalizer in winamp the right way, i think.

What settings can i change to fix this? I use winamp and there no settings concerning the .wav-input are strange. The only thing i could imagine to be wrong are the settings in the creative-devicecontrol: Here i can change the bitrate for audio (i can choose between 16 and 24 Bit) and the sampling-rate (i can choose between 48 and 96 khz)
1. what settings should i use best in the creative-device-control
2. what can i change in winamp to make .wav-files sound ok? (at least not worse than mp3)

Winamp uses a different EQ for MP3 then wav. Try turning off the EQ for both (probably the best option), or search this forum for more info on how to make Winamp use the same EQ for both if you really want EQ.
