Hi ppl. i was using 0.8.3 a few weeks ago with direct sound v2.5 output. but when i change into 0.9.1, there ar no options for me to change the output. there ar no any version of direct sound. anyone knows how to solve this?

go to Preferences > Playback > Output > select the method that you want. mine is set to Aureal Audio since my Sound Card uses Aureal's drivers. if you have the Kernel Streaming plugin, everything will shows up with DS: or KS: before it.

If you couldn't tell from Mangix's post, the default output method in 0.9 is DirectSound. There is no need to install or configure anything extra to use directsound. Infact you can't not use it unless you install KS or ASIO.

Apart from using DirectSound the 2.5 component for 8.X had configurable fading times for pause, stop, seek and skip. Which was nice to have .

i think you can download a dsp plugin if you want that functionality. i myself find it useless since foobar already supports gapless playback.
