Just in case anyone missed it: The latest XiphQT component (v0.1.5) is released on 2006-05-08. Xiph releases components for Macs (PPC and Intel) and Windows.

... Only Ogg Flac support. Boy, I got excited about playing FLAC files when I first read your post. Well maybe in a future release. I have been waiting for the ability to play native FLAC files in Quicktime and the ability to import them into iTunes.
