Had to wait 5 days to ask this question mad.gif
I get a recurring problem using foobar 0.92beta. I never had this happen in 0.83
Sometimes at seemingly random points my foobar just stops playing music files. There is no error log or anything to announce that there is a problem other than the fact that selecting songs to play doesnt work.

Sometimes I can correct it by restarting the program. Sometimes by restarting the computer and at other times I have to do a system restore.

I'm pretty sure Its not caused by my components which are fairly standard. If anyone is having a similar problem and has fixed it could you reply here and solve a massive headache?

Thanks

Weird blink.gif
Try the 0.9.1 version which is the latest stable version wink.gif
foosion
Could you please give some information, so we don't need to guess or at least can make more informed guesses? Useful to know would be what audio hardware you use and if this happens with all audio formats or only with specific ones.

You need to give us at least basic information if you want anyone to consider your problem.

You say you are running 0.9.2 beta. What version?

What kind of files are you playing when it stops? Is it always the same kind or different kinds?

What kind of sound card do you have and what version of the drivers?

What output method are you using?

What third-party components are you using (any and all that were not included with foobar2000)?

Have you changed any preferences other than those releated to formatting from their defaults?

Are you able to reproduce this problem using a clean installation of the latest version (0.9.2b3 at the time of this writing) without third-party components?
This is a "lo-fi" version of our main content. To view the full version with more information, formatting and images, please click here.
