Believe it or not, I don't have foobar running all the time lol. If I download/rip a song, and want to play it, I just click the file. This, however, opens up foobar overwriting the playlist that was last selected.

What I would like to know is if there is a way, when clicking a file in windows explorer, to open up a brand new playlist with that single/group of file(s)? Leaving all my playlists intact...

I am running foobar 0.8.3 smile.gif.

Hopefully this is possible.

Thanks happy.gif.

It can be done because that's what I do. Go to Preferences > General > and check the third option under Commandline, "Always send to playlist: _____".

/edit Sorry, now I see you're using 0.8.3. The instructions I gave are for 0.9.1.

well if you d'on't already use UI columns, it's using a hammer to slap a sly but see this page, it would not exactly do what you want but rather introduce explorer in foobar wink.gif:

in the action tab something like create new playlist would do the work wink.gif

edit: the given answer above is much lighter than installing UI columns and a new plugin
evo3
edit: im too slow

That explorer thing will do just fine biggrin.gif. I have it set up to create a new playlist and play the file I double click. It does still involve me opening up foobar, but I can live with that until all the plug ins I use are updated for 0.9.*

Thanks for the prompt replies guys smile.gif.
