Full Version: Which possibilities do I have?

Hi,

I have a remote controlable foobar which is also used by technically inexperienced people. It is suffering from the concept of playlists, which are static. I know foo_uie_explorer, which is a rather dynamic approach, but I need the playlists, as it's easy to switch between the playlists with a keyboard shortcut. Also there are some viewing benefits (I let foo_playlistdropdown visualise the current playlist) My wishes:

1) Is there a possibility to let fb2k auto (or by keyboard shortcut) generate playlists by a defined directory structure? I mean, if I say "generate playlists from any top level subfolders of M:\Music\"...
I know the plugin, which can update a specific playlist with defined folder contents.
Can my idea be done by auto playlist? I admit, I didn't understand the auto playlist concept yet....

2) Is there a way to let fbsk automatically sort playlists (the playlists itself, not their content)? I switch playlists by dragging a left/right arrow on the rc, so it would be very helpful having it all sorted when navigating.

Thanks for any input.

For the first question, something like:

Query: %path% HAS M:\Music\etc..

You can get some information about the autoplaylist plugin here:

Well, I figured it out, but it cannot dynamically *create* playlists, this is rather what I wanted...

foo_playlistmanager can sort the list of playlists by name, lock name, and number of items. Unfortunately, the current version does not provide this through main menu commands but only through context menu commands in the playlist manager window or by clicking column headers in the same window.

I see, you will make it hotkeyable soon... wink.gif
