Maybe you can get some help from the links posted in here; the Enhancer Plugin pretty much does the same as DFX.

Usually you can't fix what's already been broken, this is especially true for audio.

But there are some subjectively "enhancing" plugins out there. Another one I can think of is Bauer stereophonic-to-binaural DSP
