Full Version: Subwoofer Feedback On Analog

Hello

In normal circumstances, I have a TOSlink connection from my Logitech Z-5500 to my Audigy2 ZS Notebook PCMCIA. Today, I got myself my first DVD-A (SACD). For Creative MediaCentre's DVD-A to work, I have to use the analog cables.

When I plugged the analog cables in and changed my speaker input settings to analog, my subwoofer produced a humming feedback. The humming feedback disappears when I changed the input settings back to optical.

Is there any way I could listen to my spanking new SACD without that dreaded humming feedback? I know I could jam the volume up so the humming sound can be overshadowed, but it's 2:49am over here now. It's not nice to the neighbors.

Thank you. Cheers.

I think it's an issue with these speakers, mine does the same exact thing...

I wonder if there's any fix for it.

I think I've found the fix for it. Consider plugging your speakers to a dedicated power point.
