Hi everyone,

I've been using FLAC Frontend for a long time on Windows and naturally needed that vital application on my new Linux.
I'm running a Mandriva PowerPack 2006 with flac 1.1.2.

Whenever i type in the following command line, it reports 2-5 our of 25 "MD5 Mismatch" errors for random files (not the same if i run several tests) : flac -t *.flac
I also unsuccessfully tried [flac -t -8 *.flac] or [flac -t -1 *.flac] (even if i'm not really sure the quality level is sensitive or even taken into account when performing thetest).

Did anyone already had this kind of issue ? I have searched the forum for this topic and didn't find any previous answer that would help me through.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried checking your RAM? I recommend memtest86+.

Could you consider linking to memtest86+ instead, please? It's newer, and supports AMD64, I believe.
