Full Version: Chinese support for Foobar 0.9.1?

Before I get screamed at - I have used the search page and couldn't find a solution to my problems. Or rather, I need clarification.

I downloaded Foobar v0.9.1. Everything is working fine (so far) but the traditional Chinese characters are all scrambled. I am using Foobar v0.8.3 on the same PC (XP Home English) - and all the Chinese characters display perfectly on that version.

Am I missing something like a specific component or is traditional Chinese support lacking at the moment?

Thanks in advance.

Try changing your system font for 0.9. It seems that you have unicode installed (or do you...?). If you do, tahoma, verdana, arial, etc. will work fine.

You could also try to re-tag your files.

Yeah, I agree.

I uses fb2k 9.2b3 to play my music collections, and I have lots of foreign trax, and nearly all of them displays its tags correctly in this version of fb2k. it has a very good chance that the problem is from your OS not your trax. (my system: winxp pro x86 w/ sp2)

Thanks for the input.

I don't think it is the OS - I have found the a few tracks that manage to display the Chinese text properly. But just a few out of a several hundreds. Besides, Foobar 0.8.3 manages to deal with Chinese.

Might have to re-tag the tracks, which is going to be a real pain.
