Hi folks.

Any idea how to rip to properly tagged FLAC on OSX in one step? Secure/paranoia rips would be nice, but that's not crucial.

xACT does secure rips and encodes to FLAC, but (rather insanely) doesn't seem to connect the two. That is, first you do a secure rip to .wav or .aif, then you encode to FLAC, and finally you have to add tags manually since they get lost at the .wav/.aif stage.

Isn't there a simpler option?

Secure ripping isn't absolutely crucial, but CDDB lookup is.

Thanks.

Also -- basic editing functionality for FLAC tags would be nice, but that can come via another program if necessary. (Suggestions for that other program welcome as well.)

I came across Max a while back, but I'm using 10.3 and need to stay there for other reasons. Max requires 10.4.

Anything else?
