I'm a big fan of Sennheiser products and I was very excited when I saw they had released a canal type headphone. I haven't seen any in the local audio stores around me, but I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with them yet.

Here is a link to the product details off of Sennheiser's US Website. Sennheiser CX300-B

The only feedback I have heard about them is from a review on HeadRoom.org stating they are a mid-range quality canal phone that aren't on the same level as some of the higher end canal phones offered by makers like Shure and Etymotic.

From what I can tell they seem to be a great set of canal phones for working out and general day to day uses.

The CX 300 are pretty damn good indeed, see http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=44562

Listening to them right now. biggrin.gif They're most excellent.

I listen to them flat on my iAudio X5L, sound quality is excellent. They do have a certain sonic signature of course, but it's not so distinct that my ear notices it or notices that it needs correction.

I got them to replace my PX100s which became uncomfortable after a short time listening, and I can go all work day with these in my ears with no discomfort. Also, the isolation is excellent. I end up listening at around or less than half the volume I used to use with the PX100s for the same travel circumstances (light rail travel).

I highly recommend them. biggrin.gif

I think I have some shopping to do this weekend then. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the quick responses.

I had a feeling that I could trust anything coming from Sennheiser, but it doesn't hurt to ask around.

Hmm....I might have to take a look at them...I love my PX100s but they are bit bulky for some conditions
