i was wondering if replaygain was still getting worked on ?

And on another note, is it me or does the --smart option on case's replaygain (8.4) not work as it should. I though the idea behind it was to miss the already replaygained mpc's and find the ones to replaygain. I just tried sweep replaygain --smart --auto *.mpc , it worked ok for the first 3 directories, after that it started to replaygain all the mpc's in the remaining directory no matter if they had been already replaygained.

Yes, it will be rewritten from scratch and designed better.

It's possible that it is buggy (it was hacked in in few minutes to help a friend replaygain his files), but it has always worked the way it should for me. Infact I just tested it on ~40 albums and it correctly skipped all albums but the one where I had cleared replaygain from one file.

How do you do that? I was looking for a way to un-replaygain some MPC files, but found that replaygain.exe doesn't provide a switch for this. (Well, at least it's not documented.)

I hope you noticed we were referring to MPC implementation of the replaygain calculation tool, it is currently a mess and only smart way to make it better is to rewrite it.
