My headphones i have had for over 3 years have recently broke. I bought them for about 8 dollars and they were a phillips brand. I have not found the same model in stores so i am wondering if anyone has a good set of headphones for 25 dollars max that would work with my ipod. I would like decent quality but the thign i really want is for them to last, as i will be taking them on runs , bike rides , and storing them in my backpack ect.
I would also like them to be comfortable and NOT be ear BUDS.

Thanks and any input would be appreciated .

Why don't you search? It is there for a reason, you know. Headphones are almost weekly subjects. Make at least a little effort before you ask.

Normally I would reccomend anything made by Sennheiser

but alas...the only model they offer under $25 are ear buds

the PX-100s would be my personal reccomendation, only If your willing to spend a little more, as I personally wouldn't reccomend any other brand from what I've used so far.

As a start, I would recommend reading the Selection Guides that Headroom offers. They are very helpful. Then also check out Head-Fi for the latest recommendations and die-hard scrutiny. If there is anything at all you could need to know about any kind of headphones (and more), you can find it there amongst the high-rollers of personal audio.

For portable use, like you need, many people (including myself) will recommend the Koss KSC35 and KSC75 (both clip-on style), the latter of which can be picked up from Amazon for a mere $12.64. The KSC35 will set you back $29.99, and many say they have fuller bass than the KSC75 due to how they fit against your ears. I love my KSC35's. The sound of both models is often preferred over most, if not all, other portable headphones, including the Sennheiser PX 100. Though many people like the PX 100. The Koss PortaPro are also very respected, though they cost around $39. They have a snug fitting headband, and they look kinda sweet and retro, because they were designed in 1984.

Hope all that helps.

The Koss Porta-Pros/Sporta-Pros and related lines (the clip ons above and the OEM'd-to-Radio-Shack as the Pro-25s/Pro-35s units) are the best *super-budget* headphones I've ever used. You can generally find them for $20 or less if you look.
