I have begun to rip my CD collection to my computer via FLAC+CUE images and AAC using REACT and EAC. A few of my CDs ripped fine and then I started to notice some ripped with errors saying "too many samples". Others would report errors at the end. I did some searching on here and concluded that I should probably turn off the "read lead-in and lead-out data" option since it appears my drive (Sony DRU-500a) can not read the lead-out portion of my CDs. I went ahead and did this but still received the "too many samples" error. I then turned on the option to "fill up missing samples with silence". This solved my problems.
I just want to make sure this is the correct action to take and that I will still be getting quality rips (I'm doing this so I do not have to do it again). I am also curious as to why my first few cds (FatBoy Slim) copied perfectly with no errors but then every thing else is giving some sort of error. The FatBoy Slim discs have no scratches and the other discs are brand new. I have also set my offset with AccurateRip. Thanks!
