Hey, fairly new to foobar, but i'm beggining to get the hang of it.

The problem i have is that i'm wanting to edit the tags, and was told the best way to do so was by using 'masstagger.' The problem is i don't seem to be able too. I was told to right click on the wanted files, then go to "Tagging > Edit tags." There is no 'edit tags'

Can someone please help me? thanks

You have forgotten to install it. Just reinstall foobar on your previous installation with the masstagger (optional features when you are installing foobar), it won't change anything but the plugin will be here smile.gif

Thanks mate.

Just to make sure, none of the settings i have altered or compenets i've installed will be changed with a re-installation?

Normally no, but saving your foobar.cfg file would not harm in any way wink.gif

Ok, thanks for that. All sorted.

However the masstagger hasn't sorted the problem i hoped it would.
Can you please help me with the following:

There are a select few albums that don't appear the way the rest do. They aren't shaded in grey, and don't display the album, which is something i really want. I thought it would have been because they were not tagged correctly, but that does't seem to have helped it. Here's a picture of my foobar, so you can see what i mean :

Appreciate the help.

you are missing the tracknumber tag, but take care to give the good tracknumber to the good file

You can use the freedb website to check the correct order of your album:
http://www.freedb.org/freedb_search.php?wo...ng=none&x=0&y=0

If songs are in the correct order, you can use the freedb to get the tracknumbers or use "autotrack" under Tagging => edit file

Sorry, i am still a little confused.

How do i tag the track numbers on the file exactly?

thanks

Select all your files (IN THE CORRECT ORDER) then via the contextual menu, go to the Tagging group => Edit tags => add new => Autotrack number
