Hi everyone!

I've got Samsung SGH-X700 mobile phone. It says on the box "MP3/AAC/AAC+ support". MP3 and AAC play very good. But AAC+ ...

With new Nero encoder HE-AAC v2 it plays mono. Same with CT AAC+
With HE-AAC it plays stereo but no high frequency crying.gif

I asked Samsung team what they ment by AAC+ but never got the answer dry.gif

I tried MP4, M4A, 3GP and *.aac - all the same mad.gif

So, maybe someone has a clue how to encode and play AAC 48 - 64 kbps on my phone?.. Because 1 Gb micro SD is not enough for LC-AAC encodings and 2 Gb doesn't exist yet sad.gif

HE-AAC v2 is not only AAC with SBR, but also with PS which your player might not support (therefore it decodes mono). HE-AAC should decode fine on the other side.

Coding Technologies (http://www.codingtechnologies.com/) AAC+v2 is backward compatible with AAC+ and AAC-LC. They place the Parametric stereo information inside one of the "comment" sections of the AAC bitstream so that if an AAC-LC or AAC+v1 player attempts to decode the file, it will still play; it is backward compatible.

AAC+v2 is exactly the same as HE-AACv2 (SBR+PS). And he already said he tested the CT encoder and it does not work. Please read whatever you are replying to.

Ok. Are there any options in encoder or in contaner settings to tell the player that file is HE-AAC, not LC? Maybe some older versions? Some old standards?

try muxing the stream with mp4box to .mp4 trying both -sbr and -sbrx seperately
