I have been reading about the EAC cue sheets and I still don't quite understand how to do it. I have an album ripped in APS "scene" mp3, and I want to burn it as a perfect CD copy with no pauses. If you use Nero, there is still a slight second of pause between tracks, and I have read using EAC is the only way to do it with multiple files.

I know to goto "Write CD-R" in EAC, but I don't understand all the options in the CD Layout and how to configure everything so it is set to burn a perfect cd copy with no pauses between tracks. Can someone help me with a quick step-by-step guide?

Much appreciated, Mike

The problem is that mp3 is not a gapless format. But if the files have LAME headers with correct gap info (enc_delay / enc_padding), then it's possible to get around this problem.

Foobar2000 supports decoding of LAME mp3s gaplessly, and can burn them properly. Or you can just use it to decode them to WAV and then burn with whatever...

Or: you can decode them to WAV with LAME. Get the copy of "lame.exe fixed for decoding" from http://rarewares.org/mp3.html

Hmm... that might be a misunderstanding. I'm not sure if EAC can decode and burn your mp3s gaplessly.

When adding the files. Which is the best option to choose:

Append Track Index 1
Append Track Index 0&1
Append Index

Thanks for those decoding tips, btw.

Use Cosmo's good advice about decoding to WAVs first with either fb2k or the fixed lame.exe from rarewares. Since your topic title is : "EAC Cue Sheet Burning With Multiple Files", then i guess that you have a cuesheet ? If that's the case, then just load the cuesheet into EAC, or just drag and drop it into the CD Layout Editor window. If you don't have a cuesheet, then you need to add the WAVs as "Append Track Index 1". If you have a cuesheet but is has entries like this : FILE "Trackname.mp3" MP3/WAVE, then change those entries to : FILE "Trackname.wav" WAVE.
