When I use the equalizer in Winamp, it doesn't seem to work when I play FLACs. It works for Monkey's Audio as well as all lossy codecs as far as I can tell. Is there any reason for this? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

The official Winamp Plugin for FLAC isn't heavily maintained for example media library integration has been broken for years, try

instead. Perhaps one day Josh will merge the changes back.

Unfortunately Winamp is getting to the point where it is more of a shove AOL down your throat device than a music player, at the moment it just about possible to turn all the crap off but I can't see that lasting in the long term.
