I have a Sony DVD-RW DWQ120A in my pc and used it to load windowsXP just fine. However once windows has been loaded I can put in a CD/CDRW/DVD and it will begin to read the disk. It will try to fire up the autorun, or try to play the music, movie, or what not, but it will not work. I get some form of an error, but it never reads.

I've tried to search for a new driver for it, but so far my hours of searching have been fruitless.

I removed the device from the device manager and rebooted, still having the same problem.

Reloaded winXP just fine, but then still won't read other media.
