Hello

Say I want to join tracks 1 and 2 of an album as one continuous MP3 (using EAC and LAME): I've worked out that you can use the Copy Range option, and 'snap' the sliders to the start of track 1 and the end of track 2. Is this the best way?

Does the resultant rip automatically include the gap at the end of track 2, like it would if I just ripped track 2 on its own?

And also, how can I tag this joined track? I've set it so that LAME does the tagging - so how can I let it know what name I want to use for the track?

Thanks for any help. I'll reply myself if I figure it out in a sec ...

This is the way you use EAC to rip multiple adjacent tracks to a single file, so yes.

If you didn't detect gaps before opening the range window, yes. Otherwise you need to make sure you snap the slider to the track and not the gap.

I am pretty certain that EAC will not pass information for tagging when copying a range. You'll have to use another program to tag in this case.

Thanks - that clears that up. Makes joining those short intros/cutting the hidden tracks simple to do.

I'm only using V1 tags too, so I can just right-click on the track in Windows to add the info I need.
