Hello, I am a relative noobie with encoding and wish to archive my music to WMA lossless files with tags, and also use these files to play via a Roku Soundbridge. However, I would like to have a 2nd copy encoded with mp3 lame, stored in a different location, for use with ipod and non-ipod mp3 players.
My question is, what is the best way to accomplish this? Can EAC do this in one rip? Should I just rip it twice? Or should I use EAC to get the WMA lossless file and another program to convert to lame? Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
My suggestion would be to rip to WMA Lossless with EAC and then transcode to mp3 with foobar2000 or dBPowerAMP Music Converter.
Just use Mareo (http://webearce.com.ar/?p=2) or any app which is able to tweak EAC so it can convert the wav file to both wma and mp3.
Okay now I saw Mareo isn't capable of wma encoding. Why don't use flac or wavpack instead?

OK, thanks for the tip. I've started playing around with dBPowerAMP.
