Hi guys - well its been a long time and after all you's help last September (see WAV -> MP3 -> CD/DVD post from me then) I am still looking for a one stop solution to:
1. Read the iTunes playlist I create for a burn session (or iTunes library itself - this would mean reading the iTunes tags as well so no need to make/import tags out of folder/file structures)
2. Convert said files to mp3 (the actual files are in wav format)
3. Then burn to DVD (or CD if I have to but would like the extra space)
Doesn't have to be a simultaneous process, it can do one job, then the next and then the next - but surely someone has come up with a bit of software to do this by now?
iTunes is a great way to database your collection (I use EAC to rip, slimserver to read the iTunes library or playlists and then stream wav to my Squeezebox) but it does have a nasty limitation in that it will only burn your files in the format they are stored in. Which means you have to convert and get two copies, then burn, then delete the mp3 you don't want!
Anything new out there? - or is it just me that wants this (probably - usually is :-)
Tim.
