Hi Firends.

I have been trying the great Lame for my files.I faced a problem when converting to mp3 from gsm.
Sound was static.

Version details:
" LAME version 3.97 (alpha 10, Mar 21 2005 09:50:39) (http://www.mp3dev.org/) ALPHA version"

I planned to buy the lame.Before buying i need to confirm with somebody.

Will it solve my GSM problem?

Reply friends asap.
Thanks in advance

Firstly lame is free :S

Post some samples <30s for us to see what kind of noise you are hearing?

What lame settings are you using, what are the settings of the source?

Hi, you need to decode you GSM files to PCM WAV files first, or you can use foobar2000 freeware application to automatically convert your files from GSM to MP3.

@Sathish
you may need LAME with libsndfile support for input reading (possible with LAME 4 and latest LAME 3.98 alpha).
