Full Version: Having problems with EAC ripping to Flac
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Lossless Audio Compression > FLAC

I just started using EAC and cannot get a Flac file. Only wav files are created. I press the MP3 button on the left side. The filename ends in .wav. I go the My Music and the type is wav.file. I should be getting a .flac extension. Right?

My command line is:

-8 -V -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "album=%g" -T "date=%y" -T "tracknumber=%n" -T "genre=%m" %s

My path is:

C:\Program Files\Exact Audio Copy\flac112a.exe

My extension is: .flac

I check Use external program and pick User Defined Encoder.

I also checked Delete WAV after compression and High quality.

What am I doing wrong?

sorry - I hit reply, before I saw you had added %s and now I can't delete this message.

flac112a.exe is the installer, you need to either install that package and use the flac.exe that comes with the installation, or download the tools package and use the flac.exe from that. It's the same either way.

Yes, that was the fix. Thanks a lot!
