You can download the latest plugins from Menno, here. The in_faad.dll now has seeking resolved.

I did change in_mp4, these are the changes:

- No more AAC time calculation (faster loading of files), file info will still show the length.
- DSP plugin support (works for 16 bit output, the dsp plugin I tested didn't support other bit depths)
- Dithered output works
- extension of files is not shown anymore in the playlist

Why is there no sticky thread with the best aac and mp4 settings and encoder versions?

I second that. Especially for a Newbie the situation with EAC is quite confusing and Compiles are hidden at some strange place (Brasil wink.gif)...

I have no idea, but I just disabled in_mp4 just to make sure I wasn't fooling myself, and in_faad is certainly providing seeking here! rolleyes.gif

Hmm, ok, I think that could very well be smile.gif, but I think it already works for a long time.
Maybe Roberto never put it on rarewares because there is now also an in_mp4?

Hmm, not sure about that. The in_faad.c is dated Nov 1, and I'm sure that following the compile I did on Nov 3, seeking was not working.

Could the recent library changes have had any effect on this? Clearly it's not really important since it is working and in_mp4 does the job anyway, I was just curious! wink.gif
menno
Hmm, no, library changes don't have effect on this.

RareWares is also updated now.

Very cool... I've been waiting for DSP support and now when it's finally here I can start using MP4 instead of AAC... smile.gif

P.S. Could it be possible to fix so that the .mp4 extension is not shown in the playlist...?
