Full Version: New forum sections for FLAC and WavPack
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Hydrogenaudio Forum > Site Related Discussion

As you can see in the forum list, we now have two dedicated sections for FLAC and WavPack, this should allow more efficient discussion and browsing. I'll see about sorting all the existing posts soon.

Already yesterday, i merged some of the A/V sections that didn't draw enough attention, those posts are now in "General A/V". Also, the MPC General and Tech sections are now combined in a single MPC section, due to a decrease in activity. However, the MPC section will probably not be merged with "Other Audio Codecs" in the near future.

Thanks for your suggestions about the restructuring.

Very good idea. Thank you !

No problem. The posts are all moved now. Also, the sections are split into Lossy and Lossless to bring even more order into it. wink.gif

If we find any orphaned topics in the general forum, we're coming after you! wink.gif

Good idea to make those sections! Maybe now I can find it easier to learn about WavPack and FLAC now since they have their own sections.

Thank you!
Eli
I know FLAC already has an image guide, but many, if not more users use single tracks and now that the forums are split I would like to re-suggest making my guide a sticky:

Suggested EAC settings for FLAC, Lossless Archiving

Alright. I polished it up a bit again, and it's now a sticky.

This will be nice to have specific areas.

Amongst other things, are you ever going to change this?

It's always safe to check that setting, IOW it does no harm when a drive is configured to overread.

As for "other things" they aren't a big deal. I understand the intense desire by many in the HA community to "play it safe" when it comes to audio caching.

Thanks for taking the time in reading this and updating your guide. It is a worthwhile document.
