This is an odd cry for help...I've been using EAC for years and always have had this problem, but just now I'm finally asking for help

I have 2 drives, one an LG, the other a LiteOn...both drives are configured correctly in EAC.

But alas, I still get read/sync errors and skips/pops in my ripped files, with or without C2 enabled.

Now....I know EAC's secure mode can only do so much for scratched cd's, but what strikes me as odd, is foobar2000's secure mode rips the same cds without errors, and without any skips/pops

I'm kind of stuck in a hard spot here, since EAC will keep ripping when it hits an error, which some of my cds have unrecoverable errors I'm willing to live with, yet even in secure mode i get skips/pops. foobar2000 on the other hand does a much better job, but it just gives up if it hits an unrecoverable error.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

I either need to fix EAC or find a way to get foobar to not give up on a read error crying.gif

unselect C2 for both drives and try again

As I stated in the first post, the problem is apparent with or without C2 enabled on both drives.

I will admit quality is slightly better with no C2, but for some reason it still doesn't work as well as fb2k in paranoid mode
