Hello.

I am trying to play a .flac file in foobar, but when I try to I get the following error:

QUOTE

Could not load info (Unsupported format or corrupted file) from:
"D:\Albums\The Kinks - You Really Got Me, The Best Of The Kinks\01 The Kinks You Really Got Me.flac"

I've tested the file with winamp and it plays fine.

Whats going wrong?

I'm not sure if it could be the reason, but are your flacs in ogg container?

Can you use FLAC.exe to decode the file and does it report any errors?

Also, have you tried to use the Verifier? What version of foobar2000 are you using?

I am using foobar 0.9.2.

When decoding the file using flac.exe I get the following error

QUOTE

01 The Kinks You Really Got Me.flac: ERROR: Stream is too big to fit in a single WAVE file chunk

The other things asked, I don't understand

are your flacs in ogg container? = can you play these files in the last version of Apple iTunes? if yes, than they are in ogg container, which can be a reason for your problem.

Wow, since when does iTunes support Ogg FLAC?

There is a topic with similar problem ("Stream is too big...").

If Winamp plays the file fine, then probably it contains some incompatible ID3 tag (FLAC doesn't support ID3v2 tags).

Try to analyse tags in your file with MP3Tag.

Oh no, no, no. I don't use QT and iTunes at all. Just new about that thing with OGG Flac, but didn't remeber it was only available when using 3rt pt. plugin.
