Hey guys, I've been experiencing a strange problem with foobar lately: Upon closing or minimizing foobar (or any window within it) by clicking the x , - symbol it will freeze my system completly. I'm not even able to move the cursor any more, though - strange enough - the song playing won't stop, it continues right to the end. The next song won't start playing. It does not happen when using any other method of closing or minimizing. A reboot is necessary.

Then there is a second problem, I'm not quite sure if it's connected to the first, I'll post it anyway, maybe it'll ease solving the problem:
Quite often when playing any music file (mp3, flac,...) the sound will start to get very crapy and noisy, as if losing dimension, can't describe it really. A short pause and then play again solves it, though it keeps coming back. Though it's only a guess, I believe it's increasing when I do anything memory intensive.

thanks for any hints, I really appreciate HA!

my specs: winxp sp1; foobar 0.9.2; AMD XP1800+; 768mb DDR RAM

First try to update your foobar first. The latest is 0.9.3.1 that has sth fixed with CPU usage.

tried it, unfortunatly it still happens just the same way...

thanks anyway, cause I like 9.3.1 more than the old 9.2

Really have no idea haven't experience stablity problem with foobar. Maybe you should post more information about which plugins you're using, which output device you use, and if possible use Process Explorer and post what processes you're running and the dll list of foobar and hope that someone can solve your problem.

sorry thuan for this late update: I checked plugins and settings. Finally I changed my output device to primary sound driver, which I believe did the trick. I was using ASIO output before... silly enough!

thanks for your help.
