Full Version: 0.9.3.1 converter: can I get it to NOT ask where to put the new files?

For when doing many conversions, I don't want to be asked where the output files should go. It's never going to be any place different, and adds one more window up. Is ther a way to get 0.9.3.1 to just remember where they go, like 0.8.3 did?

Convert -> Convert to Same Directory works.

That makes it convert to the source directory. In 0.8x, I checked a little box in the converter options, and it would go to the given destination w/o asking. In 0.9.3, I'm not seeing any option to do that.

I don't know if there is a way to do that but Converter remembers the last used folder - and there's only one more button to click. Surely you'll survive?
Cerbie
I shall not survive. I will be worn down to my bones with that additional dialog box! wink.gif

Overall, though, having confirmed I'm not missing something, I think it would be a perfect addition to the rather sparsely populated advanced options.

Do note that so far, after a few weeks on 0.9.3.1, this is my only major complaint for the UI, and one of only two I have total (the other being there aught to be a 'big' installer, again).

Haha, yeah. biggrin.gif I see what you mean and it would indeed be useful. Perhaps it can be added/returned soon? (Devs wink.gif)

First things first, thanks to the devs for foobar2000.

Now back to the thread:
FWIW, it would be useful as well to replicate the source folder structure below the selected output folder (_and_ not get asked again every file).

This is my first of two suggestions (my other is the big installer, too)...

I hope that will be possible soon, thanks anyway for such a wonderful player smile.gif
