Hello everyone,
i started using foobar in the spring and i LOVED IT...it was my favorite application and everything was great, yet with my ipod + album art on it and podcasts, i used itunes for my ipod. I would also play some songs on itunes.

I started to notice a lot of the songs tags would be very messed up after being played in itunes then foobar or vice versa, they would have little boxes at the end of titles and text would be cut off. After awhile, i decided to go with itunes because of my ipod, which i use daily.

I think it is from bad id3 tags either on itunes or foobars side.

regardless,
my question is , is there a fix to get it so i can use BOTH itunes and foobar, i would like to use foobar to listen to music on my computer and i would like to use itunes to manage my ipod with podcasts and albumart. If there isnt a fix yet, is anyone working on a solution so users can use both apps?

Thanks,
bsommer

it's an iTunes problem. they don't support then ID3v2.4 standard correctly(which is what foobar2000 supports for writing the tags). the only solution that i know of is to downgrade to foobar2000 0.8.3 which will give you ID3v2 support(won't be .4 though). however if you downgrade, you might miss some functionality that is only available to the most recent version.

Apple should but don't appear to be.
