Where have I screwed up? I used the --noath (and I also tried the --athlower option) and I got this:

lame: unrec option --noath

Am I missing something or did I screw something up? Any help would be grateful...

(assuming you're using 3.97b2), this version does not take some custom quality switches (noath, athlower, shortthreshold,...). If you want to experiment with these, try 3.98a6.

Yup, call me butterfingers, 3.97b2, at least that's what the index.html file says. Anyhow, I'll look around for the 3.98a6 version. Thanks for the info.
