Seriously dude, read the wiki and stickies!

at 320kbps, -k and -m j does not do anything, --noath just makes the quality worse mad.gif

Next time, you could try, assuming you find a worthwhile question to ask, being a bit more specific about what you want. Can I say something about those two "switches" (command lines)? Sure. They suck.

-m j is redundant. -q 0 will make very little difference at 320kbps while causing encoding time to rise. Your bitrate limits for the VBR line are pointless and will only degrade quality. Finally, --noath and -k are experimental options which are now only enabled in alphas, and probably will not bring you any benefit.

can you tell the reason why lame give --noath, --athonly and -k?
just experimental?

--noath disables the use of the Absolute Threshold of Hearing masking effect
it could be a workaround for some special problem samples

--athonly disables the use of the Psychoaccoustic Model where most of the "Power" comes from.
Imo this is for testing purposes only
