i was thinking of developing a new component which visualizes the current gain information of the playing media. here is an example of what i mean:



this would be my first foobar component, so before i'm going to waste time for this project to realize that it doesn't work with the current SDK, i wanted to ask the devs with more experience with foobar components and the SDK: Is such an idea is realistic or not?

I am not a developer.I only know there are two vis components similar to what you want to develope:
foo_vis_vu meter - showing the current gain .
foo_vis_simple spectrum- shows spectrum change on a timeline.

(I am not sure if they were ported to 0.9 though.)
